Things to do in the garden during lockdown day 20: give your spare cuttings as an easter gift

Spread some Easter cheer and give your spare excess cuttings to a good home, and in return collect some from your neighbours. Plants always make the best presents.

Sharing cuttings
Cacti and Succulents

Wonderful weather has really got the nation gardening during lockdown and sharing seeds and cuttings with neighbours has really taken off. This weekend I've got broad beans, rosemary and helichrysum and some sunflower seeds which I hope we will grow in a street sunflower competition. Yesterday a neighbour put out strawberry plants and my daughter has been repotting her cacti and succulents and popping them on her friends' doorsteps.

Don't forget Covid19 may be able to stay on plastic for 72 hours. Remember to wash your hand after handling them and quarantine the plants you receive before you plant out or repot them.
