Things to do in the garden during lockdown day 65: Plant out remaining cuttings and seedlings

Any remaining seedlings or cuttings from this year that have been potted on will be clamouring to be planted out.

I have quite a number of plantlets that are desperate to be planted out. Kept any longer in their pots and they will become pot bound and die from root restriction, lack of nutrients, or lack or water in such small pots. So today is the day they are to be released them into the wild.

My Verbascum chiaxii germinated really well and there is always space to squeeze in a few more in the back of a border. The Astrantia major have been slow growing so I may have to wait until next year for their gloriously dotty flowers to appear. Perovskia 'Little Spire' is a good doer in my dry garden and will go well near the similarly silvery leaved Teucrium fruticans.
